December 15, 2009 - Rack-Soft launched today the VoipNow Core software solution, a distributed, grow-as-you-wish VoIP services delivery platform designed for Service Providers. With VoipNow Core, functions like SIP trunking, VoIP wholesale and PSTN gateway can be rapidly implemented without infrastructure overhead and additional expensive equipment. The entire platform is based on modern cloud computing technologies and requires standard x86 compatible servers.

VoipNow Core allows Service Providers to build a carrier class VoIP infrastructure with minimal costs, while focusing on future scalability, redundancy, manageability and automation. The system integrates a powerful SIP server with full media control capabilities and media gateway to PSTN features using standard ISDN PRI PCI cards. Due to the cloud computing approach, the cost of implementation, operation and maintenance is dramatically reduced compared to legacy monolithic telecom equipments.

"VoipNow Core brings cloud to the telecom world. It has already been deployed in production with many customers who use VoipNow Professional for delivering hosted PBX services. These customers enjoy the flexibility and
the ideas behind our Unified Communications software and want to build the core of their VoIP network using the same principles. With both solutions integrated in the new VoipNow Platform ecosystem, Service Providers can
address different market opportunities while enjoying a platform that scales with the business." said Bogdan Carstoiu, Rack-Soft's CEO.

With VoipNow Core, Service Providers can deliver high volume SIP trunking and wholesale VoIP to end-users and resellers. Customers are able to manage the solution on their own using the AJAX web interface, while the Service
Provider takes advantage of the real-time call charging engine, the least cost routing engine with number portability support, the media gateway capabilities, and the flexible licensing.

VoipNow Platform is designed to be deployed in cloud by enterprises, Internet Telephony Service Providers and Hosting Service Providers. Through the integration with leading software used by the hosting industry, like Parallels Plesk Panel and Open-Xchange, hosting providers have the opportunity to easily up-sell Unified Communications services to their customers.
