Grandstream Brings Skype For SIP Onboard

As of March 23, 2010, Skype for SIP is certified as interoperable with Grandstream's IP PBX and gateways. Grandstream Networks manufactures IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions. This new interoperability feature gives Grandstream customers and prospective customers a boost at the small business end of the market, since they will now be able to direct outbound calls to international mobile phones and landlines through Skype via Grandstream's GXE502x series IP PBX and related gateways.
Grandstream customers can now also make inbound calls to their corporate PBX system for free using Skype regardless of their location, or make free outbound calls to any of the over 521 million Skype users registered worldwide. Grandstream customers will also be able to put click to call buttons on websites that enable instant Skype calls from the desktop into the corporate PBX. According to David Gurle, VP and General Manager of Skype for Business, "Grandstream is enabling its thousands of business customers to easily connect their existing PBXs and gateways to Skype and to receive the same financial and productivity benefits that businesses already get when using Skype software on their desktops." Grandstream customers can now also access to Skype's vast user base worldwide, giving them the opportunity to improve communications, accelerate business growth, and reduce calling expenditures.
