Juniper Unveils New Cloud-Based Network Technology Education and Training Tools

Juniper Networks recently unveiled Junosphere Classroom, a virtual educational service accessed via the cloud, which can host a variety of networking needs. The product employs similar technology as that which operates Junosphere, the company’s proprietary cloud environment which enables users to design and model disparate networking elements through the use of Junos, Juniper Networks’ operating system.

Scholastic clientele for the cloud-based service include Princeton University, Georgia Institute of Technology and Queen Mary, University of London. Junosphere Classroom has the potential to revolutionize the training and education process of networking concepts by allowing users to gain application experience of new concepts at a significantly reduced price than that typically required to set up a laboratory and purchase and maintain relevant networking equipment.

"Junosphere Classroom is a first-of-its-kind offering that highlights Juniper's innovation and the value of our focus on a software business model," said Manoj Leelanivas, executive vice president of Junos Application Software Group.

"Junosphere Classroom brings the power of Junos to the cloud, enabling our customers to learn and experiment in ways never before possible. Ultimately, this ground-breaking service extends the value of our new network strategy built on a single Junos OS to customers and Juniper alike."

Junosphere Classroom may be purchased by itself or as part of pre-packaged programs such as Juniper Networks Academic Alliance and Juniper Networks Authorized Educations Partner.
