VoIP PBX

VoIP PBX systems, also known as IP PBX systems, are Internet protocol-based transmissions of data. Instead of sending packets of voice data over a hardwired line like a traditional PBX, an IP PBX sends compressed packets of voice or video data over the Internet. These packets of data are compressed at a rate chosen by the system administrator, and surprisingly have little to no affect on the call quality (unless compressed beyond recommended norms).
