Ingate's New SIP Trunk Summit at ITEXPO East 2010

Updated: May 10, 2011

Educating end users, resellers, distributors and systems integrators about SIP trunking is on the agenda as Ingate® Systems partners with TMC, leading IP-PBX vendors, SIP trunking service providers and industry thought-leaders to offer the new SIP Trunk Summit at ITEXPO East 2010.

Free to all ITEXPO attendees, the Summit is a three-day seminar series providing in-depth information on SIP trunking. The Summit will include general information panels and technical insight sessions from both the service provider and enterprise perspectives. Speakers from VOIPSA and the SIP Forum will also participate.

The SIP Trunk Summit will be held January 20-22, 2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

"The SIP Trunk Summit is an expansion of the original SIP Trunk Seminar series, which are always very popular at ITEXPO. For the Summit we've increased the focus on case studies to provide attendees with a thorough roadmap of the what, why and how of SIP trunking," said Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems. "SIP trunking is a secure, cost-effective way for enterprises to adopt SIP. For carriers and VARs, it is a powerful way to build business. These seminars provide vital information from the perspective of IP-PBX vendors, SIP trunking service providers and other distinguished voices in the industry."

Legacy PBX/PSTN and SIP Trunking

An intensive seminar will delve into the issues, and solutions, for SIP trunking with a legacy PBX/PSTN. A discussion on Business Strategies for VARs, and also a session on Technical Strategies addressing deployment solutions, will be covered.

The ROI of SIP Trunking

Case studies detailing real-world deployments will illustrate how SIP trunks deliver a significant return-on-investment.

Security Seminars, Live Demos, "How-To" Sessions on Deployments

Security sessions with VOIPSA will discuss VoIP and SIP trunk security. Step-by-step, interactive seminars will discuss SIP trunking architecture as well as the ITSP perspective. A SIP Trunking Boot Camp for "Basic Training" on SIP trunk installations, led by Ingate, is also free for all attendees.

Live demonstrations, during which participants will set up a SIP trunk in 20 minutes on-site, will also be part of the program.

Attendees can earn a SIP Trunking Professional Certificate by participating in the Professional Development Program on the first day of the Show.

The SIP Forum Presents: The State of SIP Trunking

Putting SIP trunking in perspective, the SIP Forum will host a new session delving into key issues on SIP trunks and the IP communications industry in general. Why are SIP trunks important? Where does the industry stand on SIP trunk deployments today? Where are we headed? Topics to include the compelling value propositions for SIP trunking, and an introduction to the SIPconnect Technical Recommendation -- the leading standards-based specification that provides detailed guidelines for direct IP peering and interoperability between IP-PBXs and VoIP service provider networks.

"Ingate's SIP Trunk Summit series is a unique opportunity for ITEXPO attendees to get a crash course on SIP trunking from the experts," said Rich Tehrani, president and group editor-in-chief, TMCnet. "We are proud to once again work with Ingate Systems in providing these educational SIP trunking seminars at ITEXPO."
