HP Readies Enterprises for the Future with FlexNetwork Architecture

Hewlett-Packard has recently released HP FlexNetwork architecture, which enables users to simplify and converge their legacy networks with a single architecture for each devices aligned with it. The architecture, which HP boasts is the only one of its kind to unify an enterprise’s branch, campus, and data center, effectively eliminates the traditional need (and multiple costs required) to employ various architectures for each point in the network.

“To ensure success and a competitive advantage, enterprises need to shift resources from maintenance of complex legacy networks to innovation,” said Marius Haas, senior vice president and general manager of HP’s Networking.

“With the HP FlexNetwork architecture, we deliver standards-based solutions that allow clients to bring existing network investments forward, reducing total cost of ownership today while preparing organizations to embrace the future.”

HP FlexNetwork architecture is one of the primary components of the HP Converged Infrastructure, which enables customers to expedite the delivery of service across their networks. HP FlexNetwork architecture enables new applications and services to be accessed more readily through a simplified process giving a high degree of expediency and scalability to mobile and cloud computing, media-rich content and virtualization.

Other benefits include vulnerability detection which creates and implements security policies into a network’s physical and virtual infrastructure.
