Boport Tele-Communication is AltiGen's '09 European Distributor of the Year

Updated: April 04, 2011

AltiGen® Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATGN), the leading provider of integrated Microsoft-based Unified Communications solutions, is pleased to announce Boport Tele-Communication BV as AltiGen's 2009 European distributor of the year. Boport Tele-Communication BV is a leading distributor of communications products and services in the Benelux countries -- Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

In 2008, AltiGen forged a master distribution agreement with Boport Tele-Communication BV in an effort to increase their European market presence. Boport committed to offer their channel partners specialized sales, marketing and technical training in order to quickly ramp up and support new AltiGen resellers. Boport's efforts were met with great success; just over a year later, Boport now has 52 resellers offering the AltiGen solution.

"We are more than honored," said Jeroen Andre de la Porte, CEO of Boport Tele-communication. "We market the AltiGen proposition under our new Boport division, AltiGen Benelux, and have appointed over 50 resellers in record time. The AltiGen proposition is fully featured and separates itself from the rest by offering non-proprietary, software-based solutions that seamlessly integrate with any existing IT infrastructure. The software-based proposition is easy to understand for resellers and adds value in more ways than one. Recently, Telecom Services BV joined our reseller network with offices in Amsterdam and Almelo. The first system was sold within 48 hours from signing the contract."

"We are proud to announce Boport as our 2009 European distributor of the year," said Jerry Fleming, president and COO of AltiGen. "The success Boport is experiencing with sales and resellers attests to the strength of our strong value proposition of software-based Microsoft UC solutions not only in the US, but in the European market as well. Boport has been, and will continue to be, a foundation for AltiGen's success throughout the Benelux region."
