RICHARDSON, Texas, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Sipera Systems, a leader in real-time Unified Communications (UC) enablement and security, today announced that its UC-Sec security appliance is compliant with the Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager and Avaya Aura™ Session Manager 6.0, a solution from Avaya, Inc., a global leader in enterprise communications systems, software and services.
The Sipera Systems UC-Sec appliance serves as a Secure Access Proxy node inside of a UC architecture by providing a comprehensive UC security and compliance solution for all internal and external UC end-points. In this role, UC-Sec helps enterprises to securely and confidently leverage the power of UC by making it ubiquitous, while reducing costs through access-side network simplification. The appliance has been compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with the Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Avaya Aura Session Manager 6.0, which enables enterprise employees and teleworkers at any location to be securely connected regardless of the infrastructure their UC endpoints reside on.
