Cisco Networking Solutions Increase Security and Mobility with Cloud Services for Branch Offices
Cisco has announced a series of networking solutions that are intended to improve mobility and security concerns at branch offices. These new solutions use cloud deployment models to provide assistance to locations that do not have a sufficient level of in-person IT support. They also do not require additional hardware to be installed at the sites in order to function.
The first solution is Cisco Flex 7500 Series Cloud Controller. This is a powerful branch controller that allows multi-site wireless deployments and full control of more than 500 branch offices from a single data center. The software will also let IT managers configure wireless policies and security settings from a remote location.
The second solution is Cisco ISR Cloud Web Security with Cisco ScanSafe. The new product offers scalable Web protection and enhanced malware detection from a centralized location. All of the changes can be made from afar, eliminating the need to hire additional workers at the branch offices.
The Cisco Flex 7500 Series Cloud Controller is now available and has a starting price of $47,955. The Cisco ISR Web Security with Cisco Scansafe will be released in July 2011 and has a starting price of $2,495.
