DMSL sees early successes with hosted VoIP partners

Updated: January 06, 2011

Sep 03, 2010 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- DMSL, the leading provider of voice and broadband solutions to the channel, has started to see the fruits of its efforts to drive sales of hosted VoIP solutions, with a number of resellers completing their first sales. The company has now signed up more than 25 resellers from across the UK and provided them with demonstration equipment and hands-on training. A number of them are now starting to make initial sales, with many more in prospect. Most of the interest is coming from smaller- and medium-sized businesses, says John Carter, Managing Director of DMSL.

The resellers who have started to take the hosted VoIP proposition to market are getting a very good response with several of them completing their first sales. Quite simply, hosted VoIP makes sense for the end-user customer and it also generates good business and excellent margins for the reseller. While the installations weve seen so far have been for relatively small, there are some very big deals in the pipeline and were expecting to see a strong acceleration as we enter the final third of the year.

One partner that has made its first sale is Cheshire reseller, CTA Systems. Will Howell, proprietor of the company, sees excellent prospects for the service. Weve had a lot of positive feedback from our customers on the hosted VoIP solutions. Understandably, many of them are not quite ready to make the jump from the traditional telephone systems that they have used for years, but start-ups and those businesses that are looking to grow and embrace the latest technology are very keen to find out more. We have now completed our first sales and were expecting to close more business over between now and the end of the year.

Carter believes that 2011 will be the year when hosted VoIP really starts to take-off. Given the fact that we are still emerging from recession, it is very encouraging to see sales starting to come through. But we think the big uptake will start next year, when the economic conditions settle down, so this is the ideal time for resellers to get on board and start learning about and using hosted VoIP for themselves.

In March, DMSL formed a partnership with Voicenet Solutions, the leading provider of hosted VoIP services and started to recruit resellers to take the VoIP proposition to the market. It aims to have more than 40 actively selling by the end of the calendar year and is encouraging all partners to adopt the solution for their own business. DMSL offers free training and hands-on sales and technical support to resellers that sign up. Voicenet Solutions award-winning feature-rich hosted VoIP phone system delivers the highest standards of reliability and quality, allowing businesses to communicate efficiently and cost-effectively. Its hosted VoIP solutions are suitable for all sizes of businesses and deliver exceptional flexibility, scalability and cost-reduction, as well as advanced reporting and close integration with CRM and other key applications.
